Knesset Speaker Yuli Edelstein was a guest of MK Rav Yisrael Eichler and joined his host to take part in the Belzer Rebbe’s Shlita lighting of Chanukah candles on the first night.
It has become the minhag at Belz to host politicians and askanim to permit them to experience the special event in the presence of the rebbe.
After experiencing the Belz lighting, the speaker posted to his Facebook page, “I merited being part of an impressive event this evening, one that had many participants, some 4,000 people! We were in the Belz Beis Medrash in Yerushalayim, one of the largest chassidic courts in our day and this evening’s experience on the first night of Chanukah was uplifting spiritually. Chanukah Somayach!”

Just a year ago edelstein was demeaning Eichler and co. during the Giyus votes
All in all,he is a decent Am ha’aretz who is susceptible to whichever way the wind is blowing
