The IDF says a Palestinian terrorist threw acid at a Jewish family on Friday, after which a passer-by shot at the man and wounded him. The Palestinian acid-thrower was subsequently arrested by police and taken to hospital under custody.

The military says the attack took place on Friday afternoon in Gush Etzion, south of Jerusalem. The attacked family – a Jewish woman and four girls – were sitting inside a car when the terrorist threw acid at them.

According to the IDF, the terrorist sprayed the material on a group of families with young children and was then shot in his leg. After pouring acid on the family, the terrorist fled the scene and began attacking others with a screw driver while being chased by an armed civilian.
