The Defense Ministry is Preparing for Chanukah with Jelly Donuts

As Chanukah approaches the Defense Ministry has purchased 400,000 mini jelly donuts filled with jam, still the most favored filling among soldiers. A tender was published to permit different bakeries to bid on the contract to furnish donuts for tens of thousands of soldiers over Chanukah.

Officials report they have determined that soldiers still prefer jelly over all the other filling options, and today in Israel, there are many including custard, chocolate, mocha, fruit flavors, and vanilla. Officials add soldiers prefer a mini donut as opposed to the regular size since it has fewer calories.

In addition to the Defense Ministry, soldiers nationwide are aware that they will also be receiving a countless number of donuts from well-wishers, parents and most of all, from the Chabad shluchim who traditionally distribute donuts during Chanukah nationwide.
