A possibly potentially fatal infection has turned up in connection to five children days after health officials announced there was no tie between fatal cases involving small children. Two children remain hospitalized, with one in serious condition with server neurological impairment.

Health officials are now stating a virus does seem to have hit the infants/toddlers, with lab results stating there is a definite relation between the illnesses and deaths. Testing is ongoing but now, contrary to statements released last week, there does appear to be a connection between the infants who died. Officials are seeking to determine if the strain that was contracted in the infants is the same, which they warn may signal an outbreak perhaps, but Baruch Hashem, ministry officials are unaware of any new cases.
