Supreme Court Critical of Senior Cops Frequenting Admorim And Mekubalim

pintoSupreme Court Justices Miriam Naor, Uri Shoham and Elyakim Rubinstein expressed harsh criticism on Sunday 16 Kislev regarding senior Israel Police officials who are too comfortable hanging around “the courts of admorim”, making a direct reference to the ongoing case involving senior Israel Police officials and Rabbi Yoshiyahu Pinto.

The justices called such behavior by high-ranking police officials “outrageous and unfitting” for persons of their positions.

The court was addressing a petition filed by the Movement for Quality in Government (MQG) and Ometz Organization, challenging the agreement by which Rabbi Pinto is a state witness against former Israel Police commander Menashe Arbiv.

Prior to this case Arbiv headed the 433 Lahav Investigations Unit, Israel’s equivalent of the FBI. After becoming entangled with Rav Pinto he was compelled to resign and the prosecution has since cut a deal with Pinto by which the rabbi will serve a year in prison and give testimony to incriminate Arbiv, who faces numerous charges including accepting bribes.

  1. In what other civilized country of the world, tracing its roots to biblical history, would so called intelligent judges object to anyone, especially those entrusted with upholding the law, meeting with religious leaders? or are the great judges jealous that no one comes to seek them out?

  2. Note that it is true that only the Supreme Court, of all the major state institutions, remains 100% true to the zionist dream of creating a state that is “free” of Torah. Even the IDF sometimes backtracks a bit (obviously distracted by other, less central, goals such as fighting the Palestinians).

  3. #3- Medinat Yisrael specifically denies having roots in biblical history. The whole zionist idea is to establish a homeland for Jews that is free of the intellectual baggage of Torah and Mitsvos. From a zionist respective, Torah religious leaders are enemies of the zionist enterprise for rejecting the zionist paradigm.

  4. akuperma indeed would be absolutely right in #4 and #5, if he could only insert “center left” or “center”before each word ” zionist”

    secular courts

    – understandable though it is due to the courts ability to block their promotion, which they hold like a sword of damocles

  6. Sword of Damocles (now into Roman folklore), Medinat Yisrael, Zionists and so on. Enough with all of you bowing to charlatons. I’m referring to these black-bearded, big-hatted, long coated, post Purim costume characters that all seem to have you mesmerized. They are NOT Admorim or Mekubalim. Why is that these so-called important police officials didn’t bother to find themselves at the doorsteps of the Bostoner Rebbe or Rav Ovadia? The reason why is, neither of the Gedolim had the time to waste. When they weren’t seeing people they were learning or discussing learning. Ravo Ovadia, ztk”l was so intensely into his learning that when Netanyahu came in for a meeting the Rav was so into his writing and learning that he didn’t even hear that people were standing not too far away staring how intense he was into his learning. Till a grandson informed the Rav that the Rosh HaMemshala had arrived he did not waste one moment idle without learning. Tell Yoshiyahu Pinto to take off his clown outfit as they already have his prison outfit already for him and that goes for the crooked police official.

  7. The new Bostoner Rebbe, Rebi Meir Shlita is the same. You never find anyone coming to him to disturb him in his avoidas hakoidesh.
