Former Likud party minister Moshe Kahlon told the media on Monday 16 Kislev he is in the final stages of completing his lineup ahead of elections for the 20th Knesset. Following the lead of Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Finance Minister Yair Lapid, Kahlon used his appearance at the Globes Financial Conference to advance his election campaign. He stated that his list is made up of fresh blood, people “not tied to the business tycoons” and he is confident the list will bring broad support. He explained that he is bringing quality qualified people, not just friends, and when asked if he would join a Likud-led coalition, commented “I am not disqualifying any possibility at this time”.
Kahlon revealed that much of his platform is centered on fighting the national banking system. For one thing, he plans to break the current situation in which it is difficult to move from one bank to another. He stated the banks earn a staggering five billion shekels annually in fees, citing the absurd; that one’s account is charged for activity and one’s account is also charged for inactivity.
During his tenure as Minister of Communications in the 18th Knesset, he succeeded in breaking the cellular telephone companies. As a result, companies today offer unlimited data and phone usage packages today for under 100 shekels monthly.
