The Rebbe Shlita made an appearance and addressed the event, stating on Purim, our enemies tried to kill us but on Chanukah, they tried to spiritual annihilate Am Yisrael. This is the case today explained the Rebbe, who pointed out the government today is using “cunning methods” to cut funding for Torah institutions in the hope of eradicating Torah.
Rav Shmuel Tirer, who heads Mosdos Seret-Vishnitz, was the emcee of the melave malka dinner, thanking those who contributed over NIS 6 million to keep the Rebbe’s institutions operating. One avreich donated $72,000, earning the grand prize, a large silver menorah.
Some of the notables present included Rav Meir Porush, Rav Shmuel Halpert, Rav Menachem Eliezer Moses, Rav Mordechai Brisk and his brother Rav Avraham, both prominent businessmen.

In todays economy to have the might to raise 6 Million shekel in Israel, comes to show Siyata Dishmaya.

the rebbe is extremely careful of shmiras halashon & emphasizes that upon all his chasidim regularly .
That being said, his comments shouldn’t be taken out of context , He his full of ahavas yisroel , if u would visit him once u would feel it.
