A session of the Knesset Economic Affairs Committee on Tuesday 10 Kislev revealed that in addition to the 159 bus lines nationwide operating on Shabbos, in a short period of time, over 100 lines have been added R”L. Shas MK Yoav Ben-Tzur alerted the committee to the matter, which he explains is a violation of the law and a gross violation of the religious status quo.
Ben-Tzur reminded his colleagues that in January 2014, Transportation Minister Yisrael Katz published a list of 159 bus lines that are permitted to operate on Shabbos. At the time, he stated that his list was the most accurate and the official list.
However in the months that followed over 100 lines were added and this was publicized in the media and nothing is being done. Ben-Tzur questions if there is someone with the authority who is adding lines and hiding this information from the minister.
One must remember that in some of the cases, the lines do not operate on Shabbos but finish operating on Friday after candle lighting time due to the early start of Shabbos during the winter. This was pointed out to the committee by Ben-Tzur as well.
Transportation ministry officials are investigating the matter.

a pure chillul Hashem, being done in the land of the jews of Eretz Yisroel where its against the jewish law.
& then we wonder why Hashem makes so many buses get thrown rocks & damaged with fires etc…
i.e. when we don’t keep the mitzvos we get punished R”L. There’s no one to blame but ourselves.
May we all do teshuva ASAP before its too late
