A few short hours after the Meretz and Labor opposition parties submitted a bill to dissolve the Knesset, Yahadut Hatorah and Shas followed suit on Monday afternoon 9 Kislev. The bills calling to dissolve the current Knesset will be voted upon in Knesset on Wednesday, 11 Kislev.
The chareidim has stated recently that they will not throw Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu a life preserver this time around and they are uninterested in entering the coalition to present national elections. Chareidim are sending a clear message to the prime minister, that he cannot avoid elections by wooing them into the coalition to replace Yesh Atid.
Even without the bills to dissolve Knesset it appears the coalition government is about to implode as Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Yesh Atid leader Finance Minister Yair Lapid seem to have reached an impasse and the dead end will likely lead to Lapid breaking from the coalition. If he pulls his 19-seat party out of the coalition the latter will collapse, and an interim government will run national affairs until elections are held.

The Charedim will control the entire government, but they will also have the responsibility to defend the Country from its surrounding enemies.
And what will this accomplish? Most likely results of a new election are:
1. No change. Nationalist block unable to form a government without either the haredim or the centrists (ex-Likudniks, such as Livni or Lapid).
2. Perhaps the nationalists will get to the magic 61, especially if some small parties split and fall under the threshold.
3. Kahlon is the centrist party that “makes the difrference” (he left Likud most recently).
None of these changes are good for the hareidim (or the leftists). In fact, results two or three could seriously hurt them.
