After submitting his resignation as rav/posek of the Jerusalem Religious Council, Rabbi Eliyahu Schlesinger Shlita announced he will serve as a kashrus consultant to Ashkenazi Chief Rabbi Aryeh Stern Shlita, who is responsible for the city’s kashrus.
The announcement was made on Tuesday 3 Kislev after the two met in Rabbi Stern’s office. Rabbi Schlesinger agreed to respond to Rabbi Stern’s request and to offer his assistance after accumulating years of experience in the field.

Will רבנות ירושלים thus be upgraded?
Will it be accepted in the חרדישע קהילות?
Sadly not likely!
I’d love to see a viable competition to the ביד”ץ הכשר.
There’s nothing comparable to their quality הכשר and they know it! Their fees are triple exorbitant!!!
Working together is a KIDDUSH Shem shamayim
