11:50AM IL: (UPDATES BELOW) Another round of Kassam rockets were fired into southern Israel a short time ago, landing in the Ashkelon area. Barzilai Hospital officials report three people are being treated in the emergency room, all listed in light condition.
At least a dozen rockets hit southern Israel on Wednesday along with at least one mortar rocket. In the meantime, the government does not seem to indicate a military response is on the immediate agenda.
UPDATE 17:20 IL: In the latest round of Kassam rocket fire, at least one rocket landed in a parking lot of Sderot shopping center. Two people are injured, one light and one light-to-moderate. A number of others are being treated for hysteria.
Heavy damage is reported to a number of vehicles as well as stores. The IDF appears to have responded by targeting a Kassam launcher.
