A number of hours following the barbaric terror attack in a Har Nof shul, residents of the Ben-Yehuda Street area of Tel Aviv heard shouts of Allah Akbar. This was enough for them to call police without hesitating.

It appears the shouts came from an apartment and loudspeakers were used to get the message out far and wide. Police tracked down the apartment but the occupants refused to comply with police, who instructed them to open the door.

The occupants were three Israelis known in the left-wing community. The motive for their actions remains a puzzle for police, especially the poor timing of their actions. The suspects are being remanded on Wednesday. Among the charges they face is assaulting a policeman.
