Responding to Wednesday’s government decision to permit the transfer of NIS 100 million in cash from Ramallah to Gaza is “rewarding terror” stated Shas leader Eli Yishai.
The transfer of funds he explained is tantamount to giving into terror and giving a prize to terrorists who launch the Kassam rockets into Israel. Yishai added that senior officials met on Wednesday, referring to the prime minister, foreign minister and defense minister to discuss the Gaza situation, and instead of emerging from the meeting with an announcement to Sderot, Ashkelon and Gaza belt communities, the government decides to transfer money to save Gaza.
The terrorists who launch rockets were encouraged by the decision he added, questioning where the policy of submission and inferior reasoning stemmed from.
