Newly-appointed Bayit Yehudi Party leader Rabbi Prof. Daniel Hershkowitz in his first press conference as party leader explained there will be no party discipline enforced in votes pertaining to political issues, adding, “We do not view ourselves as a right-wing or left-wing party, nor a religious or non-religious party, but one with a national vision”.

“Kippot srugot, black kippot and even transparent kippot all have a place in the party. Not just these people however, but there is a large group of non Shomer Shabbos who are attached to the People of Israel and the Land of Israel, and for them as well, Bayit Yehuda can be a home.”
