It what may be a surprise to some, French news sources are now revealing that the former leader of the PA (Palestinian Authority), arch terrorist Yasser Arafat, stole at least $1 billion of PA funds, most from donor nations, who to this very day, continue waiting on line to pour cash into the PA, the new great hope for the Mideast.
When he was alive, opponents of the Oslo process continued citing Arafat’s involvement in terror, as well as the fact that he was pocketing the money while crying the PA was in a dire fiscal state, somewhat similar to the situation today. Nevertheless, supporters of Oslo, such as President Shimon Peres and the late Prime Minister Yitzchak Rabin assured us that allegations were baseless.
Anyway, it now appears that the Arafat wealth is being held in Swiss and French banks, but the Israeli government, European Union and the United States dare not relate to the new discovery, preferring not to publicize the embarrassment.
A French report stated that this year, $300 million was transferred from a Swiss to a French account, perhaps to provide for the basic for the late terrorist’s wife Suha and their daughter.
In the meantime, rather than demand the funds be returned to the residents of the PA, Israel continues channeling tax revenue funds to the PA while victims of PA terror continue fighting in courts around the world for liens on banks, seeking to actualize judgments against the PA. Israel refuses to link the funds to first pay terror victims, exhibiting a moral responsibility to the PA which is beyond reproach.

What compels these people to continue to support the PA is beyond me. We always say its anti-semitism that causes them to support the Arabs. But its our own people too, and that’s shocking.
Just recently Olmert wanted to give the Golan back to Syria. It was president Bush that told him “in exchanhe for what”. Bush had to explain to him that Syria has done nothing to warrant the return of the Golan.
Gorgeous pic!
Kudos to YWN for the pic. After throwing up my lunch, I am now having a much needed good laugh after the last article I was reading.
