The name of the border police officer murdered in the terrorist attack is Chief Inspector Jadan Assad, 38, from the Druze community of Beit Jon in the north.
Assad is survived by his pregnant wife and a three-year-old child. He was gravely wounded in the attack and was pronounced dead upon arrival at the Hadassah Ein Kerem trauma unit following CPR and advanced life support resuscitation efforts.
Chief Inspector Assad will be laid to rest in the Beit Jon cemetery on Thursday, November 6, 2014 at 13:00.
