Minister of Regional Development (Likud) Silvan Shalom, a political rival of Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, met with the Belzer Rebbe Shlita. MK Rav Yisrael Eichler escorted the minister to meet the rebbe.

The meeting was granted to Shalom on Monday 10 Marcheshvan in the rebbe’s residence in Yerushalayim. The two reportedly discussed current events. Shalom is known to maintain good relations with a number of admorim.
