Today at 3:00 PM, Brooklyn Borough President Eric L. Adams will pay tribute to three Brooklyn heroes that helped to save the life of stabbing victim Hershi Pfeiffer and to chase down his attacker in Brooklyn Heights on September 22nd, as was first reported by YWN.
FDNY EMT Jenelle Rivera, who responded within minutes and performed first aid that controlled the bleeding, construction manager Marcell Alberti, who chased the perpetrator while dialing 911, and Dr. Enrico Ascher, MD, who provided medical care, will receive honorary citations and be declared “Heroes of the Month” by Borough President Adams for their valiant actions.
This will be the third of Borough President Adams’ monthly “Hero of the Month” events, honoring the accomplishments of Brooklynites from all walks of life. Also in attendance will be Mr. Pfeiffer, his family and friends, Rabbi Eliezr Foyer, FDNY Chief of EMS Abdo Nahmod, FDNY Assistant Chief of EMS Jerry Gombo, FDNY EMS Division 3 Commander Robert Hannafey and FDNY EMS Station 35 Captain Cheryl Middleton.
