what a chutzpah to use the holocaust to advance a political carrier the solution for the Jewish community in boro park is to move out to different states like Texas and Florida where there is plenty of jobs and housing we don’t all have to live in the crowded boro park, where it takes an hour to get by 13 ave every Sunday. Lakewood and monsey is also not an option, the traffic there and the noise is terrible lets all just move out of the liberal state of new York

The video and its authors and supporters utterly fail to understand that a growing community, almost by definition, will outgrow itself. There are a few places within Boro Park (or any other community) where someone can squeeze in a few more homes, or stack homes on top of each other (I think we call stacked homes “apartment buildings”), but sooner or later, a new and larger generation must find a new and bigger neighborhood. That is a good thing – it means a community is growing.
I despise this film! But the way I see it, Nachman Caller’s one mistake, relative to 30+ years of Hikind’s shady backroom deals (Emor harbei – Say much, va’asei m’at- do little), makes Nachman Caller the better candidate, by far (Emor m’at – Say little, va’asei harbei – do much).
This is for everyone to read regardless of your political views. Nachman Caller is just another jewish real estate mogul; his entire political platform is based on an affordable housing BUSINESS plan. A couple of questions you may want to ask yourself;
1. Who is going to be moving into these new buildings out in the docks. Look at all of the other frum real estate investors that have built up massive buildings throughout crown heights and Williamsburg, if anyone out there wants to do some homework, why don’t you see how many more yuppies there are living in these brand new buildings. Caller wants to expand boro park but he will be expanding dumbo/park slope instead.
2. (To me this is the bigger question) Why does Caller need to be in public office to build these complexes?……I’ll save you the trouble of figuring it out…..its the only way he will be able to get the MTA to sell him the building rights.
Before you go and give this BUSINESS man the keys to the community; ask yourself what he can actually do for the community; ask yourself is he willing to do for the community if it won’t be lining his own pockets.
If none of what I have said above has convinced you of his real plan/objective. Maybe watch his video comparing boro park to auschwitz again; that song he plays, yiddishe mameh; I don’t know about you but my yiddishe mameh and babeh would spit in “Rabbi” Nachman Callers face given the opportunity.

If you even took a minute to read my comment, my objective was clearly not political. If you knew who I was, or would ask anyone who knows me well; you would know that I go far out of my way to partition myself from what goes on in the political world.
That being said; as much as I want to distance myself from this political battle that is ensuing. It kills me inside to see Nachman Caller (a real estate investor/attorney) take advantage of the lack of depth and perception that those low income households he and his family will feed off of have (regardless of whether he were to win the election or not). He is using a political landscape to make promises to the constituents of the district that in my personal and professional opinion (I spent many years in the real estate financial world) will not be the ones to inhabit those apartment complexes that Mr. Caller plans to build.
On an ending note; Mr. OZOI.IS, you may not agree with my personal opinions. But do not bring my mother or grandmother into this. My grandmother lost almost her entire family in the holocaust and she was spared by nothing short of a miracle. She later moved to Bnei Brak and eventually Boro Park, were I had many an opportunity to spend shabbosim with her and my Zeidy. Let me tell you she couldn’t care less about a few small “shenanigans” to get done what needs to be done.
