The price of gasoline at the pumps is going down on November 2nd, officials announce. At present, a liter of 95 octane gasoline in Israel sells for 7.37 NIS, which is the equivalent of $7.86 per a US gallon based on the Bank of Israel exchange rate of 3.75 at the close of banking hours on Wednesday 5 Marcheshvan.
On November 2nd the price per liter will be 27 agorot less, 7.05 NIS, which is the equivalent of $7.52 a gallon based on the same exchange rate.
Officials in the Office of National Infrastructure report gasoline prices following the next rate cut will have been reduced by 57 agorot in a four month period.
The reduced price for gasoline will go into effect on the night of motzei Shabbos Parshas Lech Lecha.

7.37 – 7.05 = 32 agorot less. Which figure is wrong?
Throughout the world, the price of gas is falling due to a slowing increase in demand due to economic slowdowns, but more importantly, due to increased supply resulting from the United States having increased production (and with the United States having achieved energy independence, there’s a lot more oil for everyone else – causing prices to fall).
Wait til after election day in US on Tuesday. Bet the prices will start to rise again.
