Tzfas Sephardi Chief Rabbi Shmuel Eliyahu Shlita, a candidate in the upcoming Jerusalem Chief Rabbinate race, met with the Gerre Rebbe Shlita.

Rabbi Eliyahu visited the rebbe on Tuesday 20 Tishrei after shachris. He visited the rebbe at the latter’s Jerusalem residents to receive a bracha on yomtov.

The rebbe received Rav Eliyahu warmly and the two exchanged divrei Torah. Rav Eliyahu is also planning to visit the Belzer Rebbe later in the day.

It is pointed out the admorim shlita do not openly announce who they will endorse in the Jerusalem Chief Rabbinate race.
