The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch for nine south Jersey counties until? 8 p.m.? The watch covers Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester, Ocean and Salem counties. The weather service says tornadoes; hail and wind gusts up to 70 miles per hour are possible in the watch area. (A tornado watch means conditions are favorable for tornadoes and severe thunderstorms.)
