Hate Attacks Continue in Haifa’s Hadar Neighborhood

mishtara2.jpgPolice are investigating a number of anti-Semitic attacks that took place recently in the Hadar neighborhood of Haifa, a racially mixed city.

On Sunday night, a chassidishe bachur was on his way to a shtiebel when three youths, described by the victim as “Russians” pounced on him and began beating him in his face and his entire body. They grabbed his hat and ran away. The victim required medical attention and may have sustained a fractured nose.

On Thursday night, another youth, 14, was attacked by a gang of youths, believed to be the same group. Here too they pounced on him, breaking his eyeglasses and injuring him in the face. They grabbed his hat and fled.

Haifa Police Chief Aryeh Ben-Attia reports his men are working on the cases.

  1. what do you expect from young ‘frei” russian hooligans? who needs them in Israel? we dont even know if they’re jewish. and to imagine I used to go protestin the 1970’s in the cold winter in front of Hunter College in NYC to let them out.what a mistake!

  2. What are russians doing in Israel. Isn’t it enough how they treated us Jews back in Russia and for them to beat up a Jew in a Jew’s homeland is obnoxious and they should be beaten up ten times worse.
