Palestinian Authority (PA) Prime Minister Salem Fayyad is working to compel the European Union to step up its trade embargo against goods originating in yishuvim throughout Yehuda and Shomron. To date, items originating in Jewish communities in Yehuda and Shomron must be marked accordingly to permit buyers to know they are not from PA areas.

Fayyad is taking advantage of a visit of British Foreign Secretary David Miliband, telling the EU community that due to “ongoing settlement expansion” chances of regional peace are quickly vanishing.
