Peres Instructs Lapid & Livni to Leave the Coalition

peresAccording to a Channel 2 News report released over the weekend, former President Shimon Peres held private talks with The Movement leader Justice Minister Tzipi Livni and Yesh Atid leader Finance Minister Yair Lapid. The former president advised them to leave the coalition, explaining he believes it is time for elections.

Mr. Peres is quoted saying that Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu’s government has reached the end as the prime minister failed to advance the diplomatic process with the PA (Palestinian Authority).

While Mr. Peres stepped down from office about two month ago, he continues to maintain an active role in political matters of interest.

  1. Shimon Peres always was and still is a trouble maker. Now is not a good time for elections because it would show disunity and weakness for Bibi. I think Peres should retire. Enough trouble from the liberal leftist through the years.

  2. Mr Peres seems to be turning into the Jimmy Carter of Israel. It’s time for both of them to fade into oblivion and leave the running of the country in the hands of the younger, mentally sound generation.

  3. Mr Peres you have caused enough harm to Isreal ,just to name one example Osla .Please join a nice nursing home and stay there until you will face your day of judgment.

  4. Peres has about as much influence in Israel as Jimmy Carter has in America. He’s entitled to respect based on his resume and his age, but that’s all. Remember the Israeli electorate was asked many times if they wanted him to be their leader (as Prime Minister), and they always said “no”.

  5. “Failed to advance the diplomatic process with the pa”
This guys not for real!!! Sometimes yad HaShem is so obvious. Almost like Obama being elected, and more so, re- elected!!!

  6. I 2nd this instruction for these 2 individuals to leave the coalition. In 4 days from now we will be wishing them “Gemar Tov” Literally translated as “Good Riddance”. Their departure cannot come soon enough.
