The renewed Hamas warfare in southern Israel is not on the cabinet’s agenda for Sunday morning’s weekly cabinet meeting. Despite the frequent rocket attacks into the Greater Sderot Area and Ashkelon, the cabinet secretary has not been instructed to add the matter to the cabinet’s agenda.
A number of ministers are unwilling to accept the agenda ‘as is’ and they are signaling they plan to raise the issue of the rocket attacks and demand an urgent session be held to discuss the ongoing attacks and the appropriate Israeli response.
