As wildfires rage across Southern California this evening, emergency resources were being poured into Orange County, where more than 10,000 residents were ordered evacuated, dozens of houses and apartments burned and a large apartment complex was partly destroyed.
In all, more than 600 homes have been damaged or destroyed in the Los Angeles and Orange County fires, which were still out of control.
Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa said at an early-afternoon briefing. “We’ve never lost in recent times anything close to this number” of homes.
Villaraigosa declared a local emergency shortly before 8 a.m., calling the winds “treacherous.” Rolling blackouts caused by the fire briefly interrupted city power supplies.
About 600 firefighters were on the lines by early morning, and 18 aircraft were in use to fight the fire.
California’s fire season, which traditionally starts in June, has been lengthening and getting worse as the dry state adds homes in fringe areas prone to flames.
Los Angeles, which is home to nearly 10 million people, has been largely spared damage this year. In October of last year 30 blazes raged across Southern California, forcing evacuation of more than 500,000 people and damaging some 2,000 homes.

No, fires happen every year at this time in southern California. It is perfectly normal.
There is no such thing as coincidence so I would rather believe you are right about it being like Sadom and Amora and therefore its a siman from Hashem that we need to watch our actions.

ts sad that Hashem is showing so much anger in L.A. and I feel sorry for ALL the people suffering with the difficult conditions. Perhaps ans I repeat perhaps its a signal that there is to mush “Sheker” (fake life of lies) in that neighborhood and Hashem is simply burning it down to clean the world and getting it ready for the arrival of Moshiach.
I may not qualified to see whats doing in heaven I am in no way a Mekubal neither will I pretend to be one, but C.A. is known for its great share of wild fires, they are talking of forcing evacuation of more than 500,000 people and damaging at least 2,000 homes, can you imagine the agony of the people who are suffering?
nothing happens by its self everything is from Hashem, so we ask Hashem please have mercy on the people you have created and help them with their lives. Even though L.A. is the center of Sheker (life of lies) we still Daven for them

Just look at part of the Californian news from yesterday about the parades they had…do you think Hashem will let such a thing go unpunished??!!…there are no coincidences! & even for us children of Hashem our messages are very clear we all must do Teshuva so that we can hasten the Geula, Bimheira Biyameinu! At this moment by the way there are 5 different Kollels and religious life in Los Angeles is Bli ayin harah really blossoming. Yes everything is from Hashem, but it really isn’t wise to use other people’s misfortunes to preach. I just don’t see the point.
