The new 50 shekel note began making its way into the national currency in Israel on Tuesday, 21 Elul. The bill, which is the same color as the 20 shekel note, many fear will lead to confusion.
Many feel the choice of the color was a bad move amid a realization the current 20 shekel note is scheduled to remain in currency for a number of years before it is replaced with a new version that will likely have a different color.
