Wednesday Morning News Briefs from Eretz Yisrael


ywnisrael.israel· A fire broke out on a bus transporting school children in Be’er Tuvia. B”H there was no injuries.

· A navy patrol fired at a Gaza fishing boat seeking to exceed the fishing limit. Two fishermen were taken into custody.

· Hundreds of Israel Postal Authority employees protested outside the Finance Ministry in Jerusalem over the scheduled firing of 1,500 employees.

· A 4-year-old girl sustained light injuries in an Elad kindergarten due to a minor electric fire.

· A pedestrian sustained a head injury when struck by a vehicle in the BIG shopping center in Afula. He was listed in moderate condition Ichud Hatzalah reports. The victim was transported to HaEmek Hospital by Magen David Adom paramedics.

· Gaza reports IDF vehicles entered 100 meters into Gaza in the Rafiach area.

· Ynet: Israel is about to close a $15 billion natural gas deal with Jordan by which Israel will supply Jordan with natural gas.

· IDF confirms combat engineers backed by tanks entered Gaza near Rafiach to clear crops planted near the fence by Gazans. It is explained this is a standard operation that was conducted prior to Operation Protective Edge as well.
