According to the international Shelter Cluster organization, it will take twenty years to rehabilitate Gaza. International media organizations report that a post conflict look at Gaza signals the reconstruction of the area will take two decades.
The report released on Friday 3 Elul states 17,000 buildings have been destroyed or sustained significant damage and 5,000 buildings require construction to return them to their pre-conflict state. The organization adds there is a housing shortage of 75,000 units.
