Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas announces that a deal has been reached with Israel over a long-term end to seven weeks of fighting in Gaza.
In a televised speech at the start of a leadership meeting in Ramallah, Abbas says, “We announce the Palestinian leadership’s agreement to Egypt’s call for a comprehensive and lasting truce, beginning at 7 p.m. today.”

Did they bother to talk to the Israelis or the people in Gaza about this? Or does this mean the Palestine Authority (in Ramallah)and Egypt have agreed to a truce, which is very good as they aren’t fighting anybody at the moment.
Netanyahu sold out Israel to Hamas and granted concessions to the terrorists for having started a war against Israel that killed 77 people. In return for their murders the terrorists were given new open borders and seaports by Netanyahu.
Can someone explain to me how it advances the interests of the State of Israel for a Jewish publication, i.e., YWN, to use an unflattering picture of Mamoud Abbas? I don’t like the guy either, but he has to be dealt with.
nfgo,
it doesn’t have e to as lapid and others are treated the same way
To No. 3
They do the same thing with photos of Obama which I find even more offensive. The news value of an article is compromised if the editorial staff project their political agenda on the headline via an unflattering photograph. YWN is very good about clearly labeling editorial content from straight news and this is one area the editors and news staff may want to reconsider.

Not according to published reports. The only immediate change is an extension to the fishing zone, which Israel had never really objected to in the first place.
