Arab terrorists in Yerushalayim on Monday 29 Menachem Av decided to target the light rail, launching attacks with rocks and firebombs. As a result, service north of Shuafat has been halted leaving residents of Pisgat Ze’ev to use shuttle buses to get to the center of the city and other areas.
Once again Arab residents of the northern capital have paralyzed light rail service, causing significant hardship for many riders. It appears that authorities prefer to stop the train service rather than address the attacks with a hard hand.
Officials announced on Tuesday 1 Rosh Chodesh Elul that eight trains are out of service due to damage sustained in attacks.

The israelis should discontinue service through shua’fat and extend the tracks past French Hill to Pisgat Zev, via the highway to neve yaakov.
They destroy the train, they lose out.
