As Rosh Chodesh Elul approaches, authorities have approved extending the hours at Kever Rochel. The holy site will remain open 23 hours daily.
Deputy Minister of Religious Services Rabbi Eli Ben-Dahan have the order in response to a request from MK (Bayit Yehudi) Orit Struk, with the latter being a colleague in his party.
Rabbi Ben-Dahan explains he hopes the decision will facilitate permitting as many Jews as possible to come and be mispallel in the holy site amid the realization many more mispallalim will be visiting Kever Rochel during Elul and Tishrei.
