The air force during the night targeted a Kassam rocket cell in Gaza, killing at least one of the terrorists. Defense Minister Ehud Barak stated the resumption of rocket fire into southern Israel is unacceptable, stressing Israel wishes to continue the ceasefire, explaining the Tuesday night operation to destroy a tunnel was a limited and extremely necessary act since credible intelligence information indicated terrorists planned to abduct soldiers or perpetrate an attack via the tunnel in the coming days.
