Numerous Mezuzas were stolen from an predominantly Jewish apartment building in Crown Heights early Sunday morning, Crown Heights Shomrim tell YWN. The residents living at 350 Lefferts Ave were shocked when they found out that Mezuzahs from six floors of the building were ripped off the doorposts and stolen.
Crown Heights Shomrim and NYPD arrived on the scene – along with the NYPD Hate Crimes Squad to investigate. After walking around the building, it was observed that most of the Mezuzas on the right side of the building were stolen and the left side was relatively untouched.
The NYPD has launched an investigation, and anyone who has any information is urged to call NYPD Crime Stoppers Tip Line at 1-800-577-TIPS or Crown Heights Shomrim.

Is nothing sacred? Another reason why I am glad to be out of Brooklyn.
This is not just in Crown Heights, Someone stole both my mother’s and her neighbor’s mazuzah last Friday. She lives on the 12th floor of a building in flatbush. Could this be an Orchestrated event??? I wonder. They have no value to aino yehudim. Its not like the boxes were silver, they were the simple plastic ones. The actual klaf was a very good one.
