President Barack Obama says that while the shooting death of a Missouri teenager has prompted “strong passions,” people should remember Michael Brown through “reflection and understanding.”
Obama’s comments came in a written statement about 18-year-old Brown. The unarmed teen was fatally shot by a police officer Saturday while walking on a street near his suburban St. Louis home.
Witnesses have said the officer was white and Brown was black. The shooting has prompted violent protests in Brown’s community.
Obama says he and wife Michelle send their deepest condolences to Brown’s family and community. He says the Justice Department is continuing to investigate the situation along with local officials.
The president also called on people to comfort each other “in a way that heals, not in a way that wounds.”

Why hasn’t he called the Raskin family? Perhaps if we expressed “strong passions” by rioting like animals. What happens when it is found out that it was a black man that Killed Raskin. Will the Reverend Al and President O’vomit call for a federal civil rights prosecution? Does the Commander in Chief call every homicide victim family, or only ones in hoodies. No doubt an honor student in the wrong place at the wrong time.
The tolerant liberals would not condemn the officer this way if the man shot was Chinese or had white skin.

It never really is about the case itself, just an opportunity to loot. How does getting free wine, a TV, or destroying a business that services their community help the situation?

When a cop mistakenly kills an innocent kid it’s a much bigger deal than when an innocent person get randomly murdered. And that’s before all the preexisting racial tensions with the police. Calm down people!
This riot demonstrates one thing only, that the cop was justified in suspecting Brown of foul play
