Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu’s motzei Shabbos message to the nation was most significant pertaining to what he did not say. The prime minister failed to deliver a stern definitive message, opting for a vague message that included the standard Operation Protective Edge mantra.
Mr. Netanyahu repeatedly highlighted the IDF’s success in locating and eliminating terror tunnels numerous times, stressing his concern or each and every soldier, his pain for the fallen and wounded, and his absolute commitment to restoring security.
There was no talk of expanding the operation but quite the contrary as forces have withdrawn from Beit Lahiya. That being the case, the air force can no longer target that area for the civilians are returning. This will limit aerial operations in Beit Lahiya.
Citizens were waiting to hear stern statements regarding captive officer Lt. Hadar Goldin. This too did not occur, with the prime minister stating he plans to brief the young officer’s family later motzei Shabbos.
The message according to many was one to Hamas — that time is on Israel’s side. Israel is not sending a delegation to Cairo and there will not be ceasefire talks. Israel will continue operation and do what it takes to restore security, whatever that means in the eyes of the prime minister.

Don’t get stuck there! But bomb the ___ out of them so that no more rockets fly. Eliminate the individuals who are shooting these deadly rockets! Genug Shoin!
Hamas has no intentions of stopping and indeed continues to rain more rockets into Israel, while Netanyahu claims to have almost finished his job of destroying empty tunnels and about to go home. Netanyahu is tired and has had enough of it. He’s showing his weakness again and perhaps should be replaced.
maybe before they leave they should fill all the tunnels with explosives, so that they can detonate them if needed
