• The left-wing radical protest in Tel Aviv on motzei Shabbos against the IDF operation turned violent when they clashed with right-wingers.

23:04: Ynet: 360 Gazans have been killed in Operation Protective Edge, 100 of them since the launching of the ground invasion. The IDF Spokesman reports 13 terrorists have been taken into custody and are being interrogated. Since the start of the operation 2,500 sorties were carried out against Gaza by IDF land, air and sea forces.

23:03: PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas (Abu Mazen) will be meeting with Hamas leader Khalid Meshal in Qatar on Sunday in the hope of brokering a ceasefire in Gaza.

23:00: A rocket fired from the Rafiach area of Gaza landed in Egypt, injuring two Egyptian soldiers.

22:54: Since the ground operation began in Gaza, 11 soldiers have been injured. Two officers sustained serious injuries and a third and a soldier were injured moderately. The remainder sustained light injuries.

22:33: This is the third night IDF troops are operating inside Gaza. Officers and soldiers are aware that there will be a stepped up effort to use the massive underground tunnel network to abduct soldiers. There is also the awareness that terrorists on Shabbos morning wore IDF uniforms, making more difficult to detect them immediately.

22:32: Two right-wingers taking part in the counter protest to leftists at Habima in Tel Aviv have been arrested for disorderly conduct.

• In Haifa, members and supporters of the Balad National Democratic Party are protesting against the IDF operation. Police are out in large numbers as a human shield between left and right-wing protests.

22:21: Sirens sounding in Chulit, Nir Yitzchak, Sufah, Bnei Netzarim, Shlumit, Avshalom, Dekel, Yivul, Yated, Pri Gan, S’dei Avraham and  Telmei Yosef.

 22:04: The terrorists involved in the fatal incident near Kibbutz Ein HaShloshah on Shabbos morning were wearing IDF uniforms the IDF Spokesman reports.

22:03: Heavy artillery and tank fire directed into Gaza at this time.

22:02: Sirens in Nachal Ohz, Kfar Aza, Saad and Alumim.

21:57: A protest of 100s of citizens is taking place in Haifa expressing support for Prime Minister Netanyahu and Operation Protective Edge. Israeli Arabs are among those taking part in the event.

In Tel Aviv there are protests for and against the ongoing military operation in Gaza. A large police force is present to prevent an altercation between the protesters.

21:51: Paratroopers a short time ago detected a terrorist exiting a tunnel. They shot and killed him.

• Gaza reports heavy IAF and navy bombardment over Gaza following barrage of rocket fire earlier.

21:37: Twenty-Nine civilians were treated from rocket attack related injuries in the past 24 hours. One civilian, a member of the Bedouin community, was killed in a rocket attack near Dimona.
