The mother of this child explained to Channel 10 News on Wednesday, 18 Tammuz that they were running for cover when the sirens began wailing and she realized her child was lagging behind. Before she knew it, two officers realized what was taken place and time was running out. Without hesitation, they provided a human Iron Dome for the boy, while speaking with him and doing what they could to keep him calm.
Despite her hysteria, mom explained she had the presence of mind to get her phone and photograph this event so she can publicize to the world just how amazing the soldiers of the IDF are.
Mom explained that she witnessed two officers placed themselves in a life-threatening situation, without consideration for their own safety, to protect a child they did not know.

Are they amazing because they are IDF soldiers, or because they are Jews? Why would it not be enough to photograph the event in order to publicize to the world just how amazing Jews are? Is it the spirit of the IDF that brings this about or the spirit of the Torah?
I believe it is the latter. And our lives would be more meaningful if we would focus on how amazing Jews really are.

#3 Rainus – They showed amazing humanity, and they are IDF soldiers – that’s why this is attributed to their IDF training and ethos. If there were a similar photo of two Bnei Yeshiva doing something like this, it would be attributed to Torah.
