The Chomesh First organization on Wednesday night constructed two wooden frame buildings on the ruins of the northern Shomron community of Chomesh, which along with neighboring Sa-Nur was destroyed in the 2005 government implementation of Ariel Sharon’s Disengagement Plan.

For the past 15 months, Chomesh First has managed to maintain a steady presence in Chomesh, vowing to continue efforts to resettle the community one day in the future. Previous efforts to establish anything resembling a structure in Chomesh were unsuccessful as IDF troops were ordered in to destroy the structures.
