Tel Aviv’s S’dei Dov Airport will close for two months beginning on Sunday to permit runway and other repairs. Arkia and Israir flights to and from Eilat and other flights including to Rosh HaNikra will be moved to Ben-Gurion International Airport during the renovation period. 750,000 domestic passengers pass through S’dei Dov annually.
Terminal 1 in Ben-Gurion has been renovated to accommodate the S’dei Dov passengers, permitting new runway lighting and other safety improvements in the Tel Aviv airport.
Military flights will be rerouted to the Chatzor Base. The NIS 4 million in improvements will be carried out by the Israel Air Force.
