The Arab media reported on Tuesday that talks between Israel and Syria are expected to resume in the near future.

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan reports the talks will resume with the establishment of a new government in Israel. Arab media reports indicate the Arab world is hopeful that Livni will succeed in establishing a government since they feel she will favor a resumption of talks with Syria while a government headed by Binyamin Netanyahu would maintain a harder negotiating position.
