The NYPD is asking the public’s assistance identifying a suspect wanted for assault on a subway within the confines of the 66 Precinct.
Police tell YWN that on Monday, July 7, 2014, at 4:07PM, the victim, a 44-year-old deaf and mute male, was on the south bound ‘F’ train when the suspect walked over to him and struck him in the face numerous times with his hands. The victim got off the train at the 18 Avenue station while the suspect remained on the train. The victim was removed to Maimonides Hospital where he was treated for lacerations to his bottom lip.
The suspect is a 50-60 year old black male, 5’9″ – 6′ tall wearing a white tee shirt, blue jeans and black sneakers.
Anyone with information in regards to this assault is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS. The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers Website at WWW.NYPDCRIMESTOPPERS.COM or texting their tips to 274637(CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
