Pragues Jerusalem Synagogue will mark its 100th anniversary with an exhibition on the history of the citys Jewish community.? The photo exhibit at the synagogue, where services are held regularly, opens Sept. 10 and will feature a rare glimpse of the citys Jewish ghetto before it was mostly demolished at the end of the 19th century in an effort to modernize the area. The Jerusalem Synagogue was built in the Moorish style by Viennese architect Wilhelm Stiassny, a leader in the Viennese Jewish community.
The exhibition at the synagogue, which is not heated, will run as long as the weather allows.
