8:20PM EST: (UPDATES BELOW) A child has been struck by an auto in front of 9 Rizhin Road – the location of the ongoing structure fire reported on YWN – and is reportedly seriously injured. Kiryas Joel Public Safety units along with the NY State Police are establishing a crime scene due to the child being in traumatic arrest.

Additionally, YWN has been informed by credible sources that there was a delayed response time by responding emergency personnel (approximately 5 minutes), due to the new concrete barrier on Mountain Road.

UPDATE 8:45PM EST: The child remains in grave condition, but Boruch hashem has a pulse as of this time.
