Former Military Intelligence Chief Dayan on ‘Restoring the Quiet’

drWhen people speak of seeking to restore the quiet that existed over the past 18 months, Uzi Dayan feels this is incorrect. Dayan, a former Chief of Military Intelligence with 36 years of IDF experience explains that this is insufficient.

He explains the nation cannot continue visiting Gaza every year or two and do what is taking place but a major change has to occur, and this means getting rid of the current Hamas leadership. He emphasizes that Ismail Haniyeh cannot continue in his position and that Gaza must be cleared of all rockets.

Dayan feels that doing it correctly will take time, quick to add that southern area residents are willing to ride out the storm if results are achieved.
