The Security Cabinet met on Monday afternoon, 9 Tammuz 5774. While the forum has not yet reached agreement regarding a major ground forces operation, a decision was made to gradually continue increasing the intensity of IAF air strikes.
1,500 IDF reservists are being called to duty as the military begins fortifying its force along the border, albeit not in preparation of an imminent operation.
Rocket fire continues from Gaza, resulting in sirens sounding in many areas of southern Israel. Residents of areas near the border are compelled to remain within 15 seconds of a shelter and rocket fire is quite frequent.
The IDF Spokesman announced at about 17:00 that 33 rockets have been launched since midnight. Several sirens have been heard since that notification.

Instead of calling up 1,500 reservists, why doesn’t the IAF and IDF retaliate like normal countries, then they wouldn’t need reservists and it would be quiet. Would the US ever warn terrorists in a building to leave so that they can destroy that empty building? This is nuts!
