Police on Sunday, 8 Tammuz announced a major break in the murder investigation of Afula resident Shelly Dadon HY”D, who was murdered heading to a job interview in Migdal HaEmek. The victim left her home on May 2, 2014 for a job interview and her body was found in a parking lot in the Ramat Gavriel Industrial Zone. Police have not declared it a terror attack as of yet as the investigation is still ongoing.
Police are now announcing a suspect is in custody, arrested three weeks ago. The suspect is a 48-year-old resident of Avlin, which is in the Galil. Hussein Yusuf Hussein Chalifa is employed as a taxi driver and he was taken into custody about three weeks ago.
According to an Israel Police Tweeter message, the suspect admitted to the murder and reenacted his actions. He was interrogated in an ISA (Israel Security Agency – Shin Bet) complex in northern Israel. The motive for his heinous act is still not being announced. Police are not yet declaring the murder an act of terror.
