Israel: High Court Wants a Response Regarding Rocket Protection

The High Court of Justice on Monday instructed the state to respond no later than October 22nd regarding delays in providing fortification for buildings in the Gaza periphery area against rocket attacks from Gaza.

Gaza belt community residents turned to the High Court on Monday seeking assistance, as week after week nothing is done to protect them, accusing the government of failing to fulfill promises to fortify buildings in the area.

Residents backed by the Defense Ministry are anxious to take advantage of the relative quiet during the ongoing ceasefire, fearing the government will fail to complete the work before rocket attacks from Hamas-controlled Gaza resume.
