Authorities say at least 21 people were shot across New York City over the weekend.
Nine people were shot in Brooklyn, five in Manhattan, five in the Bronx, one in Queens and one on Staten Island.
WABC-TV says four of the victims died.
Police say they will have a final tally later Monday.
Among those injured were a 10-year-old boy and a 25-year-old man. They were shot Saturday on Coney Island and are listed in stable condition.
Police ask anyone with information about any of the shootings to call Crime Stoppers at 800 577-TIPS.
About 600 new officers are graduating from the Police Academy on Monday. They will partner with veteran officers and sent out to target the most violent, crime-ridden neighborhoods.

I wonder how many of these shootings occurred in Boro Park, Williamsburg, and Midwood. I think we all know the neighborhoods that see spikes in shootings during the summer months.
